I asked the Secretary of State for Education, the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson, to consider how we can help young people by extending the school day after COVID-19. I know that the pandemic has done a lot of harm to young people, even though teachers and parents have worked so hard on remote learning. We should think carefully how we can fully help education recover.
