Today I asked the Health Secretary, the Rt Hon Sajid Javid, about the standard of CQC inspections in response to the final Ockenden Review. The CQC only rated maternity services inadequate in 2018, this is unacceptable. We must make sure CQC inspections are rigorous enough to stop this type of thing happening again.
