Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond is looking for volunteers to help tidy up the city as she relaunches the Pompey Litter Pickers.
Flick organised the group before she became an MP, but the recent Clean for the Queen event has persuaded her to reform it to tackle litter across the constituency.
She needs volunteers to give up one day a month to target the worst places in Portsmouth for litter in a move that will be good for tourism, business, health and hygiene and offer a sense of community,
“Luckily, Portsmouth is a community minded city so I’m sure there will be plenty of people willing and able to join me in making a small difference just once a month," she explained.
“Litter is sadly becoming a much bigger problem, but having local people setting an example and helping clean up will go some way to tackling the issue.”
