Today I spoke in the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill. Over the years I have received many hundreds of emails specifically on trophy hunting from constituents. Often, they have been responding to campaigns by lobby groups which focus on specific incidents. In this debate. I hope the government will assist and support this bill, and that it will also maintain its efforts around the world to help suppress poaching. The reality is that for many species, there is no level of commercial hunting by man which is sustainable.
