In recess, I visited QinetiQ in Portsdown Technology Park and had a tour of their new National Maritime Systems Centre which overlooks Meon Valley. This also involved a demonstration of their Pointer system+/- outline of directed energy capability.
This is a world class facility that will continue to support the safe and effective delivery of technology to the Royal Navy and allied forces keeping them at the cutting edge, as well as enhancing the availability of platforms.
