Did you know that Hampshire are running a ‘Switch Hampshire’ scheme which means that you can change to the cheapest energy providers and tariffs easily?
The scheme combines everyone who registers in an auction with the energy suppliers who then bid against each other and the one offering the lowest tariff wins.
After the auction, the scheme lets you know how much you could save if you switched to the winning tariff and if you decide to switch, the whole process will be managed for you by the scheme.
It is a safe council backed scheme and registration is simple, free and no obligation. It can show you whether you are currently on a good deal or whether you can save if you switch. You will then get a fixed price contract for at least a year.
The scheme covers gas, electricity and pre-payment meters.
You can register online at www.hant.gov.uk/switch or over the phone on 01962 846828 (between 9am-5pm).
To register you will need your tariff and energy useage (either in £s or Kwhs) from your annual energy statement.
You have to register by 17 February and will get an offer by early March which you can take up or leave.
