Today I spoke in a backbench debate on the stability and peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In September I visited Bosnia Herzegovina and learned first hand about the tragedies that have taken place there. We must enable civil society, in particular, the many women who are working towards establishing relationships with other religions in Bosnia Herzegovina, to flourish and get back to pre-1992 where everyone worked together regardless of religion or ethnicity. On top of this we need to put out more international troops to reassure the Bosnia Herzegovina Government that we will be there to deter any internal conflict or destabilisation by Russia.
