Clubs and groups across East Hampshire can start the New Year with a financial fillip from their local councillor. East Hampshire District Council entrusts each of its members with £4,500 to give to projects and organisations in their own patch. Community groups have until the end of February to apply for a grant up to £1,000.
The applicants must have a project with a charitable goal or which is of benefit to the community.
As part of the council’s drive to improve the environmental performance of the district, £1,000 must be used on projects which raise awareness of climate change, reduce waste or otherwise have a positive impact on the environment.
