Busy week in the constituency, I visited 4 primary schools including Denmead Infants, Owslebury Primary school, Padnell Junior School council (they are coming to Westminster very soon) and Rowlands Castle (in the picture). We are luck to have such amazing schools in the constituency and I never fail to be impressed by every child that I talk to, the education in these schools is fantastic. On Monday I visited White House care home in Curdridge where residents are allowed to take their much loved pets or help look after the goats and wallabies! I popped into see Kerry at her Crafty Chocolate snug in Cowplain where she holds parties to make chocolate animals as well as selling to the public. Cowplain Social Club has 2,500 members and must be one of the most active social clubs in Hampshire, it was good to hear their plans. I saw the latest work and tree planting at Havant Thicket for the preparation of the reservoir. It is going to be an enormous body of water but will be lovely to walk around and I was pleased to see so much work on the surrounding environment already. Lastly, today I had the treat of talking to some incredible foster carers who, besides fostering, run the Hive groups around the county giving much needed support to other foster carers. Nearly half of all foster parents now belong to a Hive and it has made a huge difference to know that others are around for help and support when needed. I could have spent all day listening to their stories and will do everything I can to make sure that they continue as it is vital that every looked after child has a stable childhood and all the opportunities they need. What a fantastic end to a busy week. Thank you to everyone who gave their time to see me.
