I cannot guarantee to attend the events you mention on Wednesday, because I have other pre-scheduled Parliamentary commitments. However, I am pleased that the Government has consistently done a great deal to help motorists fight costs by freezing fuel duty. This freeze has been in place since 2011, and has saved motorists billions of Pounds.
I am pleased that all the proceeds from the road vehicle licence are now being ring-fenced for road infrastructure and repairs rather than going into the Treasury’s general accounts.
I would think by this point that the Chancellor and his team will already have written the Budget, and for that reason is is helpful to constituents that I keep in close touch year-round with Jeremy to keep him abreast of the kinds of concerns you raise. I will be listening closely to what he says when he delivers the Budget next week and I am sure he will have the needs of motorists in mind.
I hope this information is useful to you, and thank you again for getting in touch.
