It was good to meet up with the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones and her deputy Terry Norton in Westminster today with other Hampshire MPs to discuss policing and crime issues in Meon Valley as well as the rest of Hampshire.

I wished the Chancellor good luck when I saw him on Wednesday and he replied: ‘thanks, I need it’. It is a very difficult time to be the Chancellor with the aftermath of the pandemic and war in Ukraine.
Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond met with pupils from Swanmore College when they came to Westminster for a tour recently.
Nine pupils from the secondary school travelled to the capital to take part in an official tour that Flick arranged during Parliament Week earlier this month.

Honoured to join many others in Denmead to commemorate Remembrance Day. It was lovely to see the Scouts, Guides and Denmead Infant and Junior Schools putting poppies into the memorial. Thank you to the Parish Council and Scouts for organising such a memorable occasion.
Yesterday I spoke in a general debate on levelling up rural Britain. I spoke about the issues of transport and broadband in Meon Valley as these are the two main issues that need to be addressed if we want to level up rural Britain.
