Flick places Meon Valley cross in Westminster Garden of Remembrance

I placed a cross on behalf of Meon Valley in the New Palace Yard’s Garden of Remembrance. I am looking forward to joining others in the constituency on Friday and Sunday to pay my respects to those who sacrificed their lives for us. #heroes #remembranceday2022 #ukparliament

Busy day yesterday meeting some amazing people including the Horndean Morrison’s community champions, Karen and Sara. They told me about the work that Morrisons are doing including helping charities, schools and the Foodbank where I held my cost of living event recently.

It is an extraordinary thought that Rishi has only been the Prime Minister for 10 days and yet it seems to be much longer. Parliament has very much settled down and is getting back to normal. There are fewer furrowed brows and exhausted-looking Conservative MPs in any case.
 

Flick Drummond MP leads Parliamentary debate on Yemen crisis

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has warned the West must continue to seek peace and reconstruction in Yemen otherwise other countries like Russia and China will fill the vacuum. Flick held a Westminster Hall debate on the Yemen this week and told MPs a ceasefire was holding but there was uncertainty

Last week I wrote about the chaos in Parliament and this week started with some trepidation. However, I was very pleased that Rishi Sunak was successful in getting over half the Parliamentary party to support him and is now our Prime Minister.
