Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good Christmas and has lots of exciting plans for 2022. I am pleased that we are continuing with Plan B rather than further restrictions for the next three weeks.

Successful and profitable agricultural production is crucial to our food security. We are facing challenges on issues like biodiversity loss and climate change, so we must use our freedom from the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy to establish a new system of rewards and incentives in agriculture.

Another joy of being an MP is visiting amazing organisations. This time was supposed to be just the Foodbank at Wickham, only to discover Wickham Pantry and Homestart in full swing at the Wickham Community Centre too.

Very disappointing news from North Shropshire this morning but I am not surprised as it has been a very difficult year and people are cross. However, there was a very low turnout and the Conservative vote stayed at home.
